Who We Are
Who We Are
Pilar College of Health Technology is a private tertiary health-training institution committed to preparing competent, disciplined and ethically grounded healthcare personnel for service in Nigeria’s health sector. The institution began as Life Builders College of Health Technology in September 2013. In February 2019, the college relocated from its former site in Igbusi, Ogun State, to Alakuko, Lagos State. In September 2019, the institution adopted the name Pilar College of Health Technology. Through classroom instruction, practical demonstrations, professional guidance and supervised learning experiences, the college seeks to equip students with the knowledge, skills and values required for responsible healthcare service.

Approved and accredited pathways into healthcare service
Pharmacy Technician
- Practical pharmaceutical training under appropriate professional supervision. For admission, a candidate should have at least five (5) credits, which must include English, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics in any of GCE, WAEC, SSCE, NECO or NABTEB at not more than two (2) sittings.
Nursing Technician
- Foundational nursing education and supervised patient-care training. Academically qualified Health Assistant who has been on the grade for a minimum of 2 years. A candidate who possesses five (5) passes in English, Mathematics, Biology or Health Science, and any other two (2) subjects in WAEC or NECO at not more than two (2) sittings. A candidate who possesses a certificate in Auxiliary Nursing training with two years experience.
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
- Compassionate, ethical preparation for supportive patient care.
- helping to reduce maternal and infant risks while promoting healthy, dignified birthing experiences.
Community Health Extension Worker (CHEW)
- Community-focused training for primary healthcare service. For advancement of confirmed, academically qualified Junior Community Health Extension Worker who has been on the grade for a minimum of 2 years. Four credit level passes at WAEC, NECO or GCE O’Level at not more than two sittings. These must include: Biology or Health Science. One subject chosen from Chemistry, Food & Nutrition, Physics and Geography. Two subjects chosen from Economics, Accounts, Commerce, Agricultural Science and Social Sciences. Credit in English Language and Mathematics is compulsory.
- Junior Community Health Extension Worker (JCHEW) — foundational community-health training for supervised primary healthcare support.
